Rotary Club Burgas-Pirgos, Municipality of Burgas and Center for Support of personal development – Burgas, announce a drawing competition “Me, my city and the sea”. The competition is open to children from all over the country and you are urged to spread the word in your city, including Interact Clubs.
The contest has been held annually since 2003 and is usually held for the children of Burgas. In the process of developing and upgrading the project with each passing year, the idea was born to make it national, and at the next stage, international. This year the competition is open to all talented young artists from all over the country.
The aim of the initiative is to give young people and their teachers the opportunity to present their creative abilities and skills, to cultivate love and positive attitude towards the hometown and the sea, towards cultural preservation historic values and the environment, and to promote the values and messages of Rotary.
Children and students from 6 to 19 can participate in the competition with their own works age in the following groups:
- First group: Kindergartens
- Second group: from I to IV class
- Third group: from V to VII class
- Fourth group: from VIII to XII class
Drawings category – for all age groups
Techniques: watercolour, tempera, pastels, ink
Sheet format: 30/50 cm. without passepartout
Category “Computer drawings” – only for third and fourth age groups
Requirements for the technique:
- To be made in a graphic program of choice (for example: Adobe Photoshop, Corel DRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Paint, Corel Painter Classic, Macromedia Free Hand and others );
- Do not use ready-made objects or pictures;
- Be drawn freehand with the drawing tools of the graphics editors.
- Print sheet format: A4
Rules for all categories
The drawings must have been made in the period 17.03. – 20.05. in the academic year 2022-2023
Drawings to be presented/sent no later than 20.05.2023, as follows:
- For participants from Burgas, the presentation is at CPLR – Burgas, address: 11 Raina Knyaginya Street, and for the category of computer drawing, they can be sent to the email address: detska.risunka_2023@abv.bg
- For participants from all other settlements in the country: sending in JPG format to e-mail address: detska.risunka_2023@abv.bg
- Awarded participants who have attached their works to e-mail should send them in paper form to CPLR- Burgas, address: 11 Raina Knyaginya St. to participate in the exhibition.
Each work must be accompanied by the following information:
- Name(s) of the author
- Class and age
- School/ kindergarten/club and supervisor
- Exact address
- Telephone
One participant can participate with only one drawing, regardless of which category.
The organizers appoint a jury that evaluates and nominates the best works.
Awarded works are not returned, but will be used for charitable purposes and promotion of young talents.
The following prizes are awarded for each age group and category: first, second, third and incentive.
Prize winners will be notified by 27.05.2023.
All awarded works will be included in an exhibition with free access in the period 01.06.2023 – 04.06.2023. in the Flora Exhibition Center – Burgas.
The awarding of the awarded participants will take place on 01.06.2023. in the Flora Exhibition Center – Burgas from 6:00 p.m.
