30 May 1973 – 7 October 2026
It is with profound sadness that Rotary Club Plovdiv International announces the passing of our fellow Rotarian and friend, Hristo Ivanov, who passed away on 7 October 2026 at the age of 53.
Born on 30 May 1973 in General Toshevo, Dobrich, Hristo built his life around enterprise, responsibility and service. After completing his secondary education in Dobrich, he studied Industrial Economics at the University of Economics – Varna and subsequently Law at the Technical University of Varna.
His professional career reflected the same determination and commitment that characterised his involvement in Rotary. From 1999 to 2003, Hristo served as Administrative Director of Dunapack Rodina AD. In 2003, he established VHV Ltd., which he developed and managed in the fields of industrial construction and the production of metal structures for buildings.
Hristo’s Rotary journey began in 2007, when he was sponsored by Dr Todor Todorov. He became a member of Rotary Club Plovdiv in 2010 and remained with the club until 2017. His dedication to Rotary culminated in his service as President of RC Plovdiv for the 2016–2017 Rotary year.
From 2018 to 2023, Hristo was a member of Rotary Club Plovdiv International, continuing his connection with the Rotary community and the friendships built through many years of fellowship and service.
For those who knew Hristo through Rotary, his passing means more than the loss of a former club member. We have lost a fellow Rotarian who shared years of meetings, initiatives, conversations and friendship with us. His contribution forms part of the history of Rotary in Plovdiv and of our own club.
At this difficult moment, the members of Rotary Club Plovdiv International extend their deepest condolences to Hristo’s family, relatives, friends and all those who were close to him.
We honour his memory with gratitude for the years we shared and for his service to Rotary.
Rest in peace, Hristo.
