Members of Rotary Clubs Plovdiv International and Rotary Club Philippopol visited jointly on 18 June 2023 the early childhood development centre “PaTeChka”, operated by Rotarian Maria Goranova. She explained the different services offered:
- Psychomotorics: An approach aimed at stimulating the child’s early motor, cognitive, emotional, social and communicative development, which applies a specific methodology and uses specialized equipment
- Montessori: According to the Montessori method, each child is an individual and should be treated as such
- Speech therapist: Speech therapy is a science that studies speech and language disorders, voice disorders, swallowing disorders and develops therapeutic methods to overcome them
- Psychologist: While psychological knowledge is often applied to the assessment and treatment of mental problems, it is also aimed at understanding and solving problems in several areas of human activity.
- Play therapy: Play therapy is a method of therapy that uses play to discover and deal with psychological problems
- Art therapy: Art therapy is a broad-spectrum method of psychotherapy that is used for influencing (treatment) and psychotherapeutic correction, through art and creativity
- Dance meditation: Dance Meditation aims to transform and integrate the influences of trauma accumulated in our lives
- Biodynamic craniosacral therapy: Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is an extremely gentle, non-invasive, yet powerful form of treatment that improves the function of the central nervous system and supports the body’s natural capacity for self-repair, regulation and self-healing.
- Somato therapy: Pre and Perinatal Somato Psychology includes the time before birth during pregnancy or events and circumstances related to pregnancy, and the period immediately after birth
- Music therapy: Music is a universal language in which all people, regardless of gender, race, country, speak and understand each other
- Comprehensive assessment of child development: Comprehensive assessment of the child’s development by a psychologist, speech therapist, special educator and other specialists
- Consultation with a special educator: Pedagogical activity is associated with the concept of wisdom and is an integral part of the development of civilization
- Consultation with a pediatrician/psychiatrist/neurologist: We will arrange your consultation with a pediatrician, psychiatrist, neurologist or other specialist that you and/or your child needs
- Training/consultations for parents, and training of professionals working with children
- Hippotherapy: Animal-assisted therapy has become a widely used therapeutic method for the rehabilitation of people (mainly) with physical disabilities. Hippotherapy can improve an individual’s social integration and independence in daily activities. The movement of the horse helps to achieve goals related to speech, swallowing, cognitive skills, physical skills, self-esteem and occupational goals established in therapy.
- Remedial gymnastics: Therapeutic physical education (PE) is a training-pedagogical process that uses repeated, purposeful and increasing physical exertion. Combined exercise therapy is aimed at stimulating the healing process, increasing concentration, coordination, balance, spatial orientation and proprioceptive sensations and reflexes. The long-term benefit is improved adaptation capabilities of the child, increased self-esteem and tone, good health!
